A Thoughtful Review of KIN TYPES
August 21, 2017 by Luanne
A deeply grateful thank you to Amy at Brotman Blog for this beautiful review of Kin Types.

Most of us who engage in family history research probably try in some way to put ourselves in the shoes of our ancestors. We try to imagine—what were they really like? How did they cope with the failures and successes, the heartbreak and the joys that colored their lives? We want to get beyond the […]

I agree. I had to do a double take when reading the first couple of stories; who is writing this the people mentioned at the bottom of the piece or the author of the book? The stories we so real sounding as if Luanne had found some piece of paper with a written message from her relatives. A must read and re-read and read once more.
Aw, thanks, Jose. That is so nice of you! I am so glad you enjoyed the book!
I wish you lots of success with this wonderful book!
WordPress is really letting me down this week! So many screwy things. And now I just posted here and it’s not showing? THANK YOU, AMY!
Hmm, that’s odd. I haven’t noticed a problem yet….
I am not sure if it’s just my account or not, but it’s been pretty bad. I’ve been flooded with emails, for instance–notifications from all the blogs I follow. I can’t handle all those emails!
About new posts? Or just random emails? I get email notifications of new posts and of comments made on my blog, but that’s it.
I never look at the Reader so otherwise would never see new posts.
I mainly use the reader so I don’t like getting the email notifications. This is because I get too stressed out if I am away from the blog for two days and have emails waiting for me. I also search for people and go to blogs of people who comment on mine, etc. But emails are not my cuppa. So I am mad at WordPress. I keep clicking stuff for they won’t send me anything and then I think it’s ok and they start up again!
I know myself—if I didn’t get an email, I’d never keep up with the blogs I like. Too much trouble to go to the Reader. I have a few blogs that are on an RSS feed with Feedly. I never, ever check there.
Some blogger switch from wordpress.com to wordpress.org or other and I sign up to follow them again, but it rarely works out. It’s too hard for me.
This sounds wonderful, Luanne. And the cover–perfect.
Thank you so very much, Jacqui! I have new information about the lady on the cover that I will be revealing in a couple of days ;).
Oh boy! I can’t wait to read. I’m so glad I ordered from Amazon, two days to wait.
I am so excited!
